Whitney’s Landing (WLCA) has over an acre of property located directly on the Severn River with various amenities available for use by WLCA members. Amenities include a Community Beach with a standalone Swim Pier, a Community Beach House, Boat Slips, Boat Ramp, Kayak/Canoe Rack, ample Parking, Firepit, Volleyball Court, outdoor grill and picnic tables.
Community Beach and Swim Pier
WLCA is one of the few places on the Severn River where you can park your car and go for a swim on our free standing Swim Pier. There is a diving board available for your enjoyment. Swimming is at your own risk. The address for the community beach is 648 Jumpers Hole Road, Severna Park, MD 21146.
Boat Slips, Boat Ramp and Kayak/Canoe racks
WLCA has 7 large slips for boats up to 30 feet in length, 10 medium slips for boats up to 20 feet and 4 small slips for boats up to 16 feet. A boat ramp is available for launching community member’s vessels and there are 27 kayak/canoe spaces available for storage and easy access to enjoy a day on the river.
Community Beach House
WLCA has a 20 by 26 foot community beach house with refrigerators, counter space, two charcoal grills, chairs, extra tables and two 16 foot picnic tables used for community events and can be rented by WLCA members on a first come, first served basis.
Firepit
There is a fire pit available for community members for an evening of S’mores or just enjoying a relaxing sunset. Firepit rules are posted near by and should be followed.
Community Events
WLCA hosts multiple community events throughout the year including Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day Picnics, Beach Cleanup days, Garden days, and Special Project days, a Camp Out Night and Friday Night Grill Nights.
